Samsung NX100 review
The Samsung NX100 is an innovative camera, but not always a practical one. The compact interchangeable lens camera has a handsome and slim body, but you should hang on to it carefully because it doesn’t include a textured grip. Inside is a large APS-C image sensor that captures 14.6-megapixels of resolution. This means that you get the same sized sensor as in many standard DSLRs, but in a smaller overall package. Samsung designed a clever iFunction control system that lets you adjust some of the most common camera settings from controls on the lens itself. Yet, neither the 20-50mm kit zoom, nor the body, includes image stabilisation. There’s a smart system for automatic exposure selection, but no built-in flash.When thinking about a NX100 as the next possible camera for you, the real question is, does innovation outweigh its shortcomings?

Gadget review: Samsung NX100
Riding on the success of NX10, Samsung’s first mirrorless camera, NX100 also comes with a mirrorless APS-C size sensor and a three-inch AMOLED screen, plus new features such as i-Function Lens.
Mirrorless cameras were one of the digital camera trends in 2010, and they are expected to grow this year as more companies jump on the bandwagon.
What makes them special is that even though you can still play with interchangeable lenses, the same as you do with a DLSR, mirrorless cameras are much smaller and lighter.
There’s no need to explain the technicalities behind the reduction in size and weight, but do take note that mirrorless cameras don’t come with a viewfinder — this means the main source for viewing your photograph subjects is through the rear LCD or AMOLED screen.

In the weeks preceding January's reveal of the Sliding PC 7, more than 300 news items were posted about the 10.1-inch tablet computer, which touts a unique--and polarizing--slide-out keyboard. Today, "there's a very distinct split between people who are pro-Samsung and anti-Samsung," says Chris Davies, an editor at the tech blog SlashGear, "which feels very Apple."
SEMICONDUCTORS
A quarter of Samsung's revenue comes from semiconductors, bought by the likes of Dell, HP, and Microsoft, so it "has some shielding from the market," says Forrester analyst Charles Golvin. This also gives Samsung the freedom (and the cash) to toy with different technologies--Windows Phone 7, smartphones for Symbian, and Android OS, for instance--so when one of those takes off, it's ready with a top-of-the-line product.

The NX100 is part of a new breed of camera – so new in fact that no one seems to agree on what to call them. They’re defined by pocket-sized dimensions, large SLR-style sensors and interchangeable lenses.
The NX100 joins these ranks, already populated by the superb Sony NEX-5, plus various models from Panasonic and Olympus. It also has much in common with the Samsung NX10, sharing lenses with it, but this new model’s compact- rather than SLR-shaped design makes more sense for this type of camera.

Projection Mapping -- Switch for Q10
3D projection mapping for promoting Samsung's very new Switch Grip camcorder, HMX-Q10.Just like Decalcomania, one side reflects the other side and breaks its boundary. So does Q10. Q10 records perfectly fine even when its side is switched.

It’s absolutely brilliant!!
Which facial expression are you the most confident of? Did you study yourself in the mirror to find your strength? Actually I did but I couldn’t get any answer of my face. How sad :( And so, what is the most important in self-portraits? It’s lighting, lighting and lighting!
Sitting under a dim and dark lighting makes you want to take out the camera. So, young people into self-portraits are busy in search of cafes or restaurants with good lighting. If they’ve found one, mobile phone or cameras are in high order =)

Even with good indoor lighting, you cannot get away from the red acne :( Although acne is a symbol of youth, it is a defect that you want to hide for self-portrait.
Here are some tips commonly used by self-camera holics to cover up spots and acne.
1. Finding a spot with good lighting is 101 of self-portrait.
2. Sit at the window side with good sunlight or get a seat right next to the lamp.
3. Take out your camera and start shooting at your most confident angle. One precaution. Do not be intimidated by others around you. In self-portrait, a little excessive self esteem helps.
4. Before pressing the shutter button, check if the flash is on OFF mode!! If you want a professional touch, set low saturation value at program mode.
5. And one more!! Carefully study the camera features. ST550(TL225) supports “Beauty shot”, which is literally what it is!! Let’s compare photos with and without beauty function.

Can you see the difference? Small spots, acne and skin texture are much better!! A truly radiant photo! The soft skin makes you appear healthier! Most of Samsung’s digital cameras come with such beauty shot function. Correction using photo editing program is also a good solution for more attractive self-portraits, but it’s not that handy for those unfamiliar with Photoshop. Maybe it’s now time for Ca’em to try self-portrait… :P
