It’s absolutely brilliant!!

Which facial expression are you the most confident of? Did you study yourself in the mirror to find your strength? Actually I did but I couldn’t get any answer of my face. How sad :(  And so, what is the most important in self-portraits? It’s lighting, lighting and lighting!

Sitting under a dim and dark lighting makes you want to take out the camera. So, young people into self-portraits are busy in search of cafes or restaurants with good lighting. If they’ve found one, mobile phone or cameras are in high order =)

Even with good indoor lighting, you cannot get away from the red acne :(  Although acne is a symbol of youth, it is a defect that you want to hide for self-portrait.

Here are some tips commonly used by self-camera holics to cover up spots and acne.

1. Finding a spot with good lighting is 101 of self-portrait.

2. Sit at the window side with good sunlight or get a seat right next to the lamp.

3. Take out your camera and start shooting at your most confident angle. One precaution. Do not be intimidated by others around you. In self-portrait, a little excessive self esteem helps.

4. Before pressing the shutter button, check if the flash is on OFF mode!! If you want a professional touch, set low saturation value at program mode.

5. And one more!! Carefully study the camera features. ST550(TL225) supports “Beauty shot”, which is literally what it is!! Let’s compare photos with and without beauty function.

Can you see the difference? Small spots, acne and skin texture are much better!! A truly radiant photo! The soft skin makes you appear healthier! Most of Samsung’s digital cameras come with such beauty shot function. Correction using photo editing program is also a good solution for more attractive self-portraits, but it’s not that handy for those unfamiliar with Photoshop. Maybe it’s now time for Ca’em to try self-portrait… :P

Miniature WB500(HZ10W)

OH,MY, GOD!!

I’ve received THE cutest gift! It’s a WB500(HZ10w) Miniature sent from a friend who is really into cameras. The miniature sized 3CM in width and 1.5CM in length is probably the smallest camera in the world. It’s made of clay so it is very firm and doesn’t break even when you throw it. It would be a miracle if the camera actually worked, but too bad that it doesn’t.

Because the camera was too precious for only me to enjoy, I went out to a busy street. People showed various reactions to the miniature camera and I had a fun time. The European guy holding up the camera as if it were a real thing. He was taking a quick rest from his long travelling. He smiled awkwardly saying that he mistook the camera for a chocolate when he first saw it. Oh well…

Russian friend who tried to use the camera as necklace and earring saying that it looked like an accessory. If I had a string, I surely have given it to her as a present.

My friend and I sat down at a restaurant for a short escape from the heat. And how busy I was trying to capture the small cute WB500 Miniature with my camera! I dropped it on the salad, on the ice to let it cool and even pretended to lift it up with a fork! But.. it’s not for eating…

I showed the Miniature also to kids to see their reaction. All of them instantly took the camera to their mouth..

Although the camera isn’t real, Ca’em carefully takes care of it. Eagerly looking forward to the next camera series, I will wrap up the camera with a dehumidifying agent and newspaper for long storage. The unexpected output of imagination enabled me to build pleasant memories with many people. Since I’ve seen the miniature version, what about venturing out a little bit more and build one that is 100X its original size and bigger than human beings? And 100X larger size photo to boot? Let me leave you now for some more wishful imagination~ :]
