P&I 2010, Seoul International Photo & Imaging Industry Show, was held from April 29^th to May 2^nd (4 days) COEX Korea Exhibition Center, Seoul, Korea.

 

 

Photo & Imaging is one of the most influential trade fairs in Asia, of photo & imaging industries. For more than 15 years, this show has been a significant meeting place for all photo-lovers from all over the world, amateurs & professionals alike.

Studio, Professional Photographers, Amateur Photgraphers, Photographic Equipment Maker or Seller, Printing, Publishing, Advertising, PR, Design, IT, Teachers, Students & others are the target visitors.

Profile for exhibit includes Cameras and Accessories, Photo developing, enlarging, finishing equipment, Digital Imaging system, Software for Digital Imaging Editing, Internet Portal Site, Studio facilities(Backgrounds, strobo, tripods, etc), Photo scanners, printers & Printing goods, Video cameras and other device(Battery, memory card, reader and etc.), Albums, Photo calendars, Bags, Clothes for photo, Optics goods(Binoculars, OHP, LCD projector, lens, etc.), Books, Newspaper.

Samsung has one of the biggest booths to display cameras, camcorders, and pictures.

The main theme of Samsung booth is NX10 and new products.

On the main stage, beautiful models pose with Samsung cameras for photos.

Behind the main stage, there is photo zone for NX10.

Samsung’s new products are tested by users. People can take pictures and even print their photos.

EX1(TL500) can take pictures well with f1.8 lens in the dark condition. EX1(TL500) has got a lot of attentions from users even it hasn’t been released yet.

Good to see WCIC members again! They have their photos and videos put on display at the gallery of booth.

Jimmy Kimmel introduced Samsung ST550(TL225) in his show

Samsung’s new digital camera, ST550(TL225) has been introduced by Jimmy Kimmel in ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on September 17th.

Jimmy Kimmel and his friend YaYa, who takes photos of celebrities often, talked about having trouble of taking self-portrait with celebrities. YaYa showed some pictures that he took with Will Smith, Elizabeth Taylor, and Jessica Simpson but those pictures were not in focus so audience could not recognize who they are. So his good friend Jimmy suggested Samsung’s brand new dual LCD camera, ST550(TL225) to YaYa. It not only had good design with compact size, but also had another LCD screen in front of the camera which is perfect for self-portrait. Jimmy and YaYa took their self-portrait during the show and that trial made YaYa really wanted to have one!

Since this ‘dual LCD screens’ is the world’s first digital camera made from Samsung, ST550(TL225) is getting popular day by day. As the result, ST550(TL225) already has been sold almost 300,000 in 8 weeks after they showed up in London, New York, Beijing, Bangkok, Seoul, and other major cities.

Also, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ is not the only TV show that this product showed up. America’s famous TV show, ‘The View’ also introduced ST500(TL220) which is exactly same as ST550(TL225) but just has smaller size of front LCD screen.

We thank ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ show about introducing ST550(TL225), and we hope many consumers around the world will enjoy this product.

 

Samsung showed up at ‘The Photographic, Video & Digital Imaging Show’ in Canada

Henry’s – Canada’s biggest School of Imaging – opened ‘The Photographic, Video & Digital Imaging Show’ at International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario from October 16th to 18th.

It is Henry’s unique annual event in public so vendors exhibit products such as PMA and demo it. Also, consumers can buy products and get lessons from professional photographers.
Of course, Samsung was there for our consumers!

Henry’s School of Imaging operated workshops and seminars based on a variety imaging topics including digital cameras, computer-based image enhancing, traditional photography, and others. Since it was the show to public, the seminars and workshops operated for free of course, and the schedule went through whole weekend.

There was another event called “Trade in – Trade up” that made something special about the show. Consumers could bring their old camera and upgrade it to a new digital or video camera, or accessory at the Henry’s booth.

Among Samsung’s products, ST550(TL225) got most attention from this show and it was also a good experience to Samsung to get feedback from all consumers in Canada. Main three points people liked about ST550(TL225) were good for self-portrait, easy to use, and Children Mode. Samsung appreciated that most consumers gave us good opinions about our 2View cameras!
