[ST50 Preview] First meeting with the 3S(Ultra Slim, Stylish, Smart) Compact camera ST50

This time I could get an opportunity to review the new VLUU ST50 by Samsung. In Dubai, I suppose this happens to prevent from being idle, just because I feel lonely, so I decided to do this. This will take 6 weeks, so please look forward to this. Since I m in a foreign country, it took a week more. I ve been really waiting for this.

When I took the EMS box, I didn t think there is a camera inside, because it was too light. Even though the ST50 is ultra slim, I didn t expect this much light.

The ST50 has a 16.6mm ultra slim body which is hard to create as a compact digital camera having a protruding type lens. This is an upgraded ultra slim digital camera from compact size digital cameras. It comes with 4 colors such as black, silver, red, and navy. The color sense is also unique with the stylish metal material.

 

Great design is not all, right? Let s take a look at what special functions it has. Most of all, as a small compact digital camera, it has 12.2M pixel. This pixel number guarantees the quality even for big size bigger than A2. The ST50 has a smart button (You will see this in a picture) , and it analyzes the situation and adapts the camera for 11 optimized mode automatically such as human, scenery, night scene, macro, etc. This is a really smart button as the name.

This is a really good camera for those who love self shots. It has various functions for the human pictures. Most of all, using the Beauty shot, everyone can get pictures with no pimple, freckles on faces. I m really expecting this function. And the smile shot detects a smile, and the face detection detects faces and set the focus and brightness for beautiful human pictures. The blink detection function prevent blinking when taking pictures and self shot beep sound when a face is on the right position. It s just the smart ST50. Also, it has the DIS(Digital Image Stabilization) function, so it provides high sensitivity fast shutter speed and clear images with low sensitivity. And there s one more thing I m expecting. It s a Photo style selector and this can select emotional expression such as Soft, vivid, Forest, Retro, Cool, Calm, and Classic when taking pictures.
